On June 17, faculty member Ron Radvilas received $10,000 and a medallion as part of the Lockwood Distinguished Faculty award. The $10,000 is in the form of a stipend and the medallion had been specifically commissioned for this special honor.

Even in a time of change, both locally and worldwide, it was stories of the past that were most relevant as Bellevue College held its graduation ceremony, throwing almost 500 students into the workforce. The June 18th ceremony included the participants of the four-year baccalaureate program at BC, the first of its kind for the school.

On Wednesday June 24, a total of 89 students, faculty, and staff left the Bellevue College campus to attend a leadership retreat at Camp Casey on Whidbey Island. Upon arrival, the group began a series of tasks designed to challenge their skills as leaders, communicators, and community builders.

The College cafeteria has a recipe book with the calories and nutritional information of each type of food they serve. Students are asking what would happen if the contents of this book were to suddenly appear on a huge menu board, like those found in restaurants such as McDonalds, Starbucks, and Taco Del Mar.

The Sounders have officially hit the halfway point in the season with great standing, making a run at both the MLS and US open cups. However, the team has been marred with injuries, red cards, and wasted opportunities, making many fans frustrated with how much better the team could be.

Leah Francis, head softball coach at Bellevue College, has put together yet another stunning season, and fans and players have plenty of reason to be excited. The team streaked into first place near the end of the regular season with a 13 of 14 run, and proved itself as the best in its division.

Formed only ten years ago, Rise Against has quickly climbed the ranks of biggest acts in modern day punk rock. Their lineup consists of Tim McIlrath on guitar and lead vocals, Brandon Barnes on drums, Joe Principe on bass, and Zach Blair on guitar.
